Inside Mountain Warehouse: Turning an internal conference into content that actually gets watched

Year
Mountain Warehouse’s holds many staff conferences throughout the year, emphasising the importance of leaders, teams and departments coming together to share results, plans and operational updates. The challenge is what happens afterwards. Traditionally, internal conferences get turned into long slide decks and reports that only a handful of people ever fully read. Mountain Warehouse wanted something better. Something the wider company would actually engage with.
So instead of a 70+ page presentation, we captured the event properly. Two days inside their huge distribution centre, documenting the people, the tech and the scale of the operation through video.
Because seeing it beats reading about it every time.
Our production team built a system that allowed for ongoing, high-quality video output: cinematic yet social-first.
The objective was crystal clear: transform an internal company conference into engaging video content for sharing across the business.
The aim was even simpler: make the information easier to consume, easier to share and far more engaging than traditional internal reporting.
Rather than expecting employees to work through a long presentation, the goal was to show them what actually happened.
We spent two full days inside the Mountain Warehouse distribution centre capturing the event as it unfolded. And when we say inside, we mean properly inside.
Steel cap boots on. High-vis permanently attached. Cameras everywhere.
Across the two days we documented the conference from every angle, including:
- Behind-the-scenes coverage of the event itself
- Guided tours through the distribution centre
- The robotics systems running the warehouse operations
- Interviews with team members and leaders
- Key moments and conversations happening across the conference
By the end of day two, we had clocked roughly 50,000 steps across the warehouse floor.
Instead of a long internal report, Mountain Warehouse now has a set of dynamic video content that brings the conference to life.
- Teams across the business can:
- See the scale of the operation
- Hear directly from leadership and staff
- Experience the event without needing to attend in person
